Chuck Raggio works at Stryker Orthopedics in Linden, CA. Raggio sells and supports sales of revision implants for hip and knee replacements. He provides feed-back to and from orthopedic surgeons and the product teams.

Tom is Dean of Applied Technology at San Bernadino Valley College (http://www.valleycollege.edu/), in Alta Loma, CA. He oversees a division of 6 departments, 14 programs serving over 2200 students in a 60,000 square foot facility with over 50 faculty and support staff.

Frank works as a Division Metallurgist / M&P for Arrowhead Products. He supervises the Materials and Process laboratory for Arrowhead, which manufactures metals bellows and cryogenic or high temperature/pressure ducting for military, commercial and space applications.

Tim is a M&P Engineer-Metallics at The Boeing Company (http://boeing.com), in Huntington Beach, CA. He is involved with anything and everything metallic. He currently splits time between Metallurgy/Welding and Std Parts/Mech Test groups.
The Huntington Beach site is part of the IDS business unit responsible for defense and aerospace. We support NASA (Space Shuttle, ISS) as well as the gov't (Delta rocket, lots of 'black' programs) in product development, maintainence, and general problem solving.
Tons of hands on stuff like:
- mech testing
- weld schedule development
- new process review/study
- FSW R&D work
- failure analysis
The coolest part has been a couple of trips to Cape Canaveral--got to climb all over the Space Shuttle taking measurements and such. Also visited a loaded launch pad just before Discovery mission.

Carl works for National Semiconductor, Santa Clara (http://www.national.com), in San Jose, CA. His work involves failure analysis of electronic components.

Tim is a licensed Metallurgical Engineer and a state certified Permanent Amusement Ride Qualified Safety Inspector. He is responsible for performing safety inspections of the attractions at Disney's California Adventure, and for conducting audits with state inspectors. Annually, he certifies to the state (sign under penalty of perjury) that the attractions are in compliance with state regulations.

Mike works as a New Product Introduction Engineer at KLA-Tencor ( http://kla-tencor.com) in San Jose, CA. He works with the Development Engineers on new multi-million dollar Automated Bright Field Microscopes. These are used in the inspection of semi-conductor wafers. He works with the service groups making sure they have the proper procedures, spare parts and training available to keep the systems running.

Kristian says "My duties include working in Marketing to develop new business for Key Microelectronics accounts, in the Americas, who have needs in wafer bumping. I also train Sales Engineers in the Americas to help keep them apprised of the latest technology in wafer scale packaging."

He is responsible for all testing and evaluations being performed at the facility including sponsors and fleet support abroad.

Among the many mechanical properties and corrosion prevention benefits the coatings are applied in a very environmentally friendly process. Our main product lines include alternatives for hard-chrome and cadmium coatings.

Garrett acts as a researcher in the Meso, Micro, and Nanotechnology Center in the Electronics Engineering Technology Division at LLNL. His research focuses on optical MEMS devices for various sensor technologies.

Lenora Bennett is a Manufacturing Engineer in Austin, TX. She says, "I completed two years as a manufacturing engineer with Tech-Etch, Inc. in Plymouth, MA. Tech-Etch specializes in manufacturing precision parts from thin sheet metal using photo-etch processes. I was responsible for several hundred parts which were used in applications such as communications, electronics and human implants. I was also responsible to develop and maintain control plans for a chemical etch process used to etch 'Elgiloy' and electropolish processes. Currently, I have relocated to Austin, TX with my husband and am seeking employment in a related field."

He has created a product and brought it to market. Until that actually takes off and allows him to work entirely on it, he is doing construction on the side, teaching Shakespeare for Kids classes, teaching Inventions for kids classes, and being a stay at home dad.

Greg is a Design Engineer for the Product Solutions Group at Watson Furniture Group (http://www.watsonfurniture.com/) in Silverdale, WA.
Watson is a small manufacturer of European style office furniture just outside of Seattle. The company is highly focused on sustainable manufacturing practice (no VOC emission, or hazardous materials and the use recycled(downcycled) materials. We are much closer than many large firms in achieving products that will nourish. Some of my duties involve:

writing, and invoices all underground storage tank (UST) cathodic protection projects in northern California and northern Nevada. Coordinates and oversees western United States region operations for cathodic protection work of
gas station USTs for national client. In addition, performs designs, installations, repairs, and tests of UST cathodic protection systems. Manages and performs cathodic protection testing of various structures, including municipal
pipelines. Lead engineer for creation of anode manufacturing production line at local facility.
